An Impromptu Drive around Cape Ann
Friday early evening, Charlotte and I were passing the time at Niles Beach in Gloucester, watching the sunset and observing a tour schooner slowly sail out of the harbor for a sunset cruise. A few more sloops and one handsome Ketch were at anchor in Niles Cove, filling out the view.…
Then a car pulls up smartly on my left and parks. It's my friend Alex and his intrepid wife, in their beautiful yellow Triumph TR3-B, out for a drive. Charlotte is hard to miss, so Alex thought he'd say hello. We ended up driving the full circumference of Cape Ann on the picturesque and winding secondary road, Rte. 127-A. Behind old ladies doing 20 mph for the entire drive. :-(
